From London To New York City

Since everywhere else is focusing on the Beatles' alone concentrating on celebrating their 50 years milestone of coming to the United States for the first time, I'm going to focus on Mrs. Lennon (although I'm sure in upcoming posts will have a Beatles' picture sneaking in here, there and everywhere). Cynthia has been laying low during the celebrations- probably still grieving for the loss of her husband last year or she's done with the whole Beatles' thing- whatever the case may be. John wanted Cynthia to come with him, he convinced manager Brian Epstein. At the time, Brian wanted John's marriage as well as the other Beatles' romances on the down low and although I'm sure John did agree with him to a point as he wanted to keep his personal life a private matter away from the public eye, Cynthia was John's stable rock who kept him steady on his feet during that crazy mayhem of Beatlemania. Cynthia is the only wife who traveled with the Beatles for a tour/visit and it was her only "full" tour (let's face facts: it was more of a visit than a tour. The Beatles did not play night after night after night. They had very few major concerts and one TV variety show with multiple preformances in 3 major cities).
