This month, if you'd notice (and have come here often), I have been posting a lot of John Travolta this month. Before I talk more about John, let me quickly explain that since 2022, I decided to heavily feature somebody once a month after realizing I have been saving pictures left and right for this blog. Some pictures I saved for years that never got an opportunity to be on this blog; I figured to help lighten the load, I decided to feature somebody for a month. It certainly helped downsize my overflowing photos (and save more).

Anyway, I picked February of 2024 to focus on John Travolta considering it's his 70th year around the sun! 

Being born and raised in the 1980s and 1990s, I always had John Travolta in my life. Welcome Back Kotter already left the airwaves until the late 1990s so I was finally introduced to Vinnie Barbarino. By then, Pulp Fiction helped put John back on the popularity map (besides Look Who's Talking franchise). I always thought John was handsome, with those blue eyes, dark hair, and dimpled chin - not to mention those dance moves! As a young child, I was practically obsessed with Grease. I remember often checking it out from Blockbuster and requesting extra days for check out. The sexual content went through one ear and out the other, I wasn't really paying attention to that. Oh, the innocence. Another thing was how he's really humbled about his beginnings - some actors like to pretend the TV show that helped launch a career doesn't exist and brushed off like a shrug. But not John. He kept Barbarino in a fondness of memories and kept touch with his co-stars; John was Robert Hegyes's child's Godfather and was Florida neighbors with Ron Palillo. In 2011, when majority of the cast reunited at the TV Land Awards, John looked so happy to be there, praising Gabe Kaplan. It was very touching. I also admire John as being loyal to the memories of his two great loves: Diana Hyland and Kelly Preston (both died of breast cancer), he embraced Diana's son Zachary who used to visit him on the set of Urban Cowboy, took him fishing, and cried at his wedding. John once considered adopting Zachary after Diana's death but that went nowhere since Zachary still had his father alive.

Trevor St. John

Although Roger Howarth certainly made Todd one of a kind, Trevor had a daunting task to fill the Todd shoes during the tenure.... until Roger came back to reclaim Todd, making Trevor move over to become Victor, Jr. Todd's "identical" twin brother with plastic reconstruction surgery. You know how soap operas can be! Anyway, I went with the flow and enjoyed Trevor's performance. I even met him, got a picture with him, and his autograph! The only Yummy I have met in person.

 Grant Wilson

During the Ghost Hunters "mania", Grant was my favorite, followed by Steve. No shocked as it usually how it is on my Yummy history: married. But, that's okay, since he's a very dedicated family man and I respect that. I did continue to watch Ghost Hunters after he left and when he came back with a new crew. It was okay, but now that mania has faded away into history.

Anson Williams

Better known as Potsie Webber on Happy Days. While growing up watching the reruns as a teenager, I developed a crush on Anson Williams. I thought he was kinda underrated, definitely as a singer... I was thrilled to learn we had a same birthday! After Happy Days ended, Anson moved from in front of camera to behind as a director, so, it was thrilling to see his name occasionally popping up on a random TV show. He's still good looking although I am passed the "dreaming of marriage" stage. I wouldn't mind meeting and getting a hug, kiss on cheek though!

 Josh Swickard... plays Harrison Chase on General Hospital. 

It's been a loooong time since I did Yummy of the Mood! Time to revive it as I have a few more Yummies in line waiting ever so patiently. Okay, Josh! Well, if you come here often, Josh is still pretty new to this blog and has been part of the GH cast for a few years now. His character is decent, yet he is certainly not a bad sight. He's married with a baby on the way (congratulations!).

It's been a long time since I did Yummy of the Mood... Jimmy Baio. He is known as Billy Tate on 'Soap' and he is Scott Baio's cousin. I have done Scott as a topic in the past but in the last few years of political turbulence, I am finding Jimmy way more attractive than Scott. Unfortunately, Jimmy has been gone from the spotlight for a long time. I have tried asking Scott via Twitter of his whereabouts but no such luck. Judging from Scott's wife Renee's tweets to me (before she blocked me for some unknown reason other than being oversensitive and easily offended for being a Trump fan herself... And I didn't even mention Trump at all... guess she has a radar for anti-Trump people?) she never met Jimmy... I am guessing there is an estrangement in the family. He is still alive, though. So, Jimmy, wherever you are... you are part of my Yummy of the Mood list! Plus, you must have better logical and taste in politics than your cousin.

David Cassidy... 1950-2017
On November 18th, news came out that David went into the hospital; he desperately needed a liver transplant and his kidneys were failing. It didn't take long to see false news about him dying, with RIPs showing up in random places. However, David was still alive. And he lingered on for about four days- similar to Carrie Fisher- except she never woke up while David drifted in and out. But I held back from saying RIP because of the lesson learnt from a few short months ago when Tom Petty died. When RIPs were starting, but he wasn't dead, he still had a heart pulse. He did die later that day... And so with that in mind, I waited until the official word, which came on November 21st. Either way, expecting or not, it was and still is deeply sad. David had dementia that he announced earlier this year. However, I didn't think he would die that quickly. His own mother had it for a number of years as did Estelle Getty, so I thought he may have had a good decade or so, only living away from the public eye.

It was worth the grounding I got when I was in middle school and skipped just to watch reruns of The Partridge Family and watch David. Very easy on the eyes. Of course, I was 20 years too late from his fan-mania in the 1970s. It wasn't very long until I gained other interests and other men to drool over.

I Think I Love You has been playing non-stop in my mind since November 18th and still going! No matter what I do, listen to other songs, sing it out loud, whatever, it won't go away! Great song, it's better than a worst song.

Topher Grace. If there's anybody that I relate to on That 70's Show it would be Eric Forman. Different upbringing and such, but connected. However, my babe of choice was Ashton Kutcher. Topher came in second...

It's been a long while since I've done 'Yummy of the Mood'! Peter Scanavino plays Detective  Sonny Carisi on 'Law and Order: Special Victims Unit' since season 16 (now in season 17). He kinda replaced Christopher Meloni/Elliot Stabler (keyword: kinda) for me as Chris is no longer on the show for the past 5 years. Sonny is smart, funny, sorta annoys the other detectives but has a point. I really like him! In real life, Peter is married with a second child on the way.

Dan Mintz, a comedian and the voice of Tina Belcher on 'Bob's Burgers'. Not surprisingly, he's married (just my luck!) with a child but when does that ever stop me? His wife is also a comedian! Good for them. Anyway, why is Dan a Yummy of the Mood? From watching him on YouTube on Comic Con and being interviewed and such, he seems to be a quiet and shy guy which intrigues me. He seems nervous, like he's not used to the attention and would rather be behind the scenes rather than in the spotlight. Yet Dan also handles himself well too. I love his character, Tina, who is a teen on puberty and her thoughts are mostly about boy butts when daydreaming. She's pretty disgusting but it fits right up my alley of sense of humor.

Jason Thompson from 'General Hospital', playing Dr. Patrick Drake. He's taken but whatever- I can still look! He has the cutest dimples and I think he's been killing it lately on the soap. Then again Jason has had quite a number of powerful performances ever since he joined the show.

Bryan Voltaggio- who is a Chef who participated in Top Chef (in Las Vegas) and Top Chef Masters. He lost both times after coming very close to winning. He's married, has children but I still think he's good looking. I did root for him and I like him much better than his brother Michael (who won the Top Chef title) and his food looks delicious.

Will Friedle from Boy Meets World, played Eric Matthews. I had a huge crush on him back in the 1990s- very early in the 2000s. He also did Batman Beyond that I used to watch but pretty much stopped because the network kept changing it's time spot so I lost track of it. With the recent news of Boy Meets World going as Girl Meets World it's very possible that Will will return as Uncle Eric from time to time. We shall see!
Plus his birthday is August 11, tomorrow! So Happy Birthday Will!

Chef Sam Talbot from 'Top Chef'. More of a blast from the past deal. He was on 'Top Chef''s 2nd season and out of all the male chefs there, Sam was a cutie of the bunch. He even knew it...Sam was also diabetic but he did extremely well and was in the Top 4 before being eliminated. Last I heard, he got married so no go on that one!

Larry Hagman. I could have sworn I posted him before? I checked the 'archives' and apparently not. Hmm...I could've dreamt it? Sheesh, just what I need- this blog to be part of my dreams! Well it kinda is-- I mean I conceived this idea of the blog while sleeping in bed so I guess it does come in full circle, right? Well anyway, Larry Hagman. You may know him mostly as JR Ewing from Dallas but I know him better as Major Tony Nelson from I Dream of Jeannie. Strangely I grew up during the time Dallas was on (I don't recall watching it, maybe I saw bits and pieces but at that time I was more interested in my Barbies and She-Ra) while I Dream of Jeannie was a thing of the past. But I managed to watch I Dream of Jeannie, especially in my teens and found myself somewhat attractive to Larry. Nothing sexual or anything like that, just someone who's attractive but not attracting...Another thing that I do admire Larry about was the fact that he remained married to his one and only wife of over 50 years, Maj. He was the son of Mary Martin and he could've let Hollywood go to his head (which I'm sure in some cases it did, he did use drugs and did heavy drinking and hung out with Keith Moon in the 1970s) and have million of marriages but he didn't- instead his wife went along with him to whatever phase they were going through (I recall them having a "naked" phase, walking around their house naked, even if there were guests!). I was very sad when Larry died.

Micky Dolenz. He's my favorite Monkee. The Monkees were the first band I saw live, it was during one of their first reunion concert tours in the 1980s and I remember watching them on MTV. I do remember first having a crush on Davy Jones but it didn't last long because Micky caught my attention of being funny, pulling silly faces. To this day I have a thing for Micky.

Disney's Peter Pan. Don't laugh. We are going back in the past here to when I was about 5 or so. I wanted to be like Wendy- to have Peter Pan fly into my window, sprinkle Fairy dust so I can fly away with him to Never Neverland so we won't grow up. Obviously that never happened.

Dominic Zamprogna. He plays Dante Falconeri on General Hospital and has been here quite a number of times with his TV girlfriend/wife, Lulu Spencer (played by Julie Marie Berman). When I heard that Sonny Corinthos was going to get (yet) another child, I was not thrilled! I felt that Sonny has enough children as it was, he's was even known as Super Sperm, screwing whatever woman that happened to cross his path. But when Dante came on (as Dominic, an undercover cop hoping to put Sonny away in prison), I quickly found myself liking him! Dante was/is funny, way different than his mob kingpin Sonny. Dante doesn't wear suits all the time, even when going to the park for a picnic; he also never cheated on Lulu, which Carly believed he will/would, just like his father. So far, Dante is a good guy. He has had ups and downs with his father but is a grown independent man. Meanwhile, his adoptive brother Michael tends to kiss Sonny's butt to the extreme!

Anyway, in real life, Dominic is married with his second child on the way. Congratulations to him!

Scott Baio. Ah yes, Chachi from Happy Days. But I know him better as Charles from Charles in Charles. Talk about a blast from the past? And no, he's not exactly 'yummy' for me at the moment but past yummies do count (Nick Carter, anyone?) so Scott counts. Anyway, in the 1990s my crush on Scott peaked at the highest- Charles in Charles was re-running so I got to relive my youngin' years and caught up with his Happy Days episodes as well as Diagnosis Murder. After that, well, let's just say I grew up and moved on. It now to the point that I'm glad I did because the Scott Baio is 46 and Still Single was pretty stupid with the discovery of him being a man-whore (I kinda already knew that before but just didn't realize the depth) although I admit that I did watch the sequel's Scott Baio is 47 and Pregnant as a guilty pleasure but as I was sitting there watching him, I can't help but think that I'm so happy I wasn't a teenager anymore! However, I am happy for him that he finally got married and is now a father. Good for him.
