Yummy of the Mood

Jeremy Piven from Entourage (and Ellen, I used to watch that) . My Aunt is going to kill me- she's obsessed with him! If she finds out about this blog and looks into it, just don't believe the suicide note! Well, I am not as obsessed and crazy in love/lust in Jeremy as she is and that's fine, she can have him 100%...but I get to have looking rights and admire his talent.

Welcome Back

Introducing the New Girl

In 1958, Hollywood welcomed Italian actress Sophia Loren into their move business nest with a big shabang party at Romanoff's. Jayne, who loved making publicity for herself, went to the party (I believe she was uninvitied) and introduced herself as well as gently flashing her boobs, having all the attention focused on her rather than the new girl. It pretty much worked!

The famous photo below:

That Famous Glance

One of the most famous pictures coming from Hollywood. An unforgetable image. Also the night that I'm sure Sophia Loren would much rather forget. But hey, her career held on tight and she's still very much active so maybe it turned out to be a good thing?

“That picture has haunted me my whole life. I love it and I hate it. I hated it when I was little, but now I see it differently because my mother was such a celebrator in life, and she transcended fear and judgement. That's something to aspire to. So I love it now. It's so human. You can make a movie off that picture. There's a part of me that looks at it like "Wow! That's awesome! That's so great!" But there's another part of me that's like, "That's my mom".” –Mariska Hargitay

“I think the photo speaks for itself” –Mariska Hargitay

Round Two

Sophia Loren and Mariska at a Fashion Show in Paris in 2007. They also attended the 2010 Screen Actor's Guild Awards (but at this time I have not seen a picture of them together at the event).

Giada De Laurentiis with her husband Todd Thompson. I love how they support each other's careers and they've been together since Giada started college around age 18, over 20 years.

Fear and Loving in Las Vegas

Screen cap taken from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (yep, I played with the title) of Christopher Meloni and Johnny Depp. Chris only had a small part of the film. I love Chris, my Mom loves Johnny, so we had our two guys in the same movie & scene together!

Cheesecake Heaven

Estelle Getty died in 2008
Beatrice Arthur died in 2009
Rue McClanahan died in 2010
Pretty eerie that these girls all died within a year of each other! I was very sad at all three's deaths, I grew up watching the "Golden Girls" and I continue to love the show to this day. I would like to think that all three are now in a kitchen in Heaven, enjoying the whole cheesecake and patiently waiting for Betty White, saving her spot.
Rest in peace Girls!

Hollywood Sign Girl

In the early 1930s, a young woman named Peg Enwistle (originally born in England) went to California from New York (where she was a successful Broadway actress) to become a movie star. She did manage appear in one film but most of her scenes were cut out. Depressed, she went to the famous Hollywood (then Hollywoodland) sign and jumped to her death from the H. Sad ironic thing is that after she died, she got a letter that she was accepted to appear on a Broadway play about a suicidal woman.
